Has someone ever said or done something that stopped you from reaching your goals? Unfortunately I can guess your answer to this question is “Yes”. Maybe even a friend or family member has discouraged you from taking action toward making your dreams come true. It saddens me but it happens every day.
Excuses and negativity are common problems and are what usually stops most of us from fulfilling our dreams. But once you realize this, you can start to begin ridding yourself of these negative influences.
A few things you can do:
1. Find some like minded positive people to surround yourself with. It may be difficult to avoid negative friends and family members but you can tip the scales toward positivity by spending as much time as possible with others that are taking action to reach their goals and acheive their dreams. It will rub off on you!
2. Help someone else with a problem they are having. The best way to raise your own spirits is to give to someone in need. And it can be as simple as holding the door for someone or taking out the garbage even though its not your turn. Helping others can change your whole outlook on life and leads to positive thinking.
3. Take care of yourself. Keeping a positive mindset is much easier if you get plenty of sleep, exercise when you can and eat a good healthy diet. I know you are busy and it can be hard to find time for YOU, but with a healthy mind, body and soul you will become more energetic and productive, allowing you to get more done in less time.
Follow these few tips and soon you will be checking off goals that you’ve been struggling to reach. Before you know it, YOU will be the positive person that others want to associate with!
